SMELLS LIKE DEAD FISH! March 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this comment useful.
My mom bought this product at the store cause we were looking for a unscented natural cream.... it works well... but it smells like dead fish! everything we touch ends up smelling like it and after awhile it started to make my stomach turn.. My mom doesn't mind its smell. but I now loath it.
Don't buy if you are looking for a completely fragrance free lotion. or if your sensitive to smelly smells... if your not worried about smelling like a fish and just want a really good cream. I'd try it. since it does work really well (My fingers are normally super dry but after putting it on it helped alot. but like I said.. Now I can't stand the smell)
What Happened...
After trying it at the store I brushed my hair back out of my face with my hand. and after that I kept smelling a really weird fish smell. I kept trying to figure out were it was coming from but couldn't pin point it. the smell after while started to make me feel sick to my stomach and after getting home I noticed it was the cream and it had gotten in my hair! after that It was all over.. I couldn't stand the smell anymore.
But since my mom didn't get it in her hair and didn't keep smelling it (and also due to her not being as sensitive to smells as I am) it hasn't bugged her.
Love this stuff! February 24, 2008 I have a lot of allergies. Especially, to lotions and topical treatments. I decided to try it after a family member bought a small tube. To my amazement my skin was not irritated and I can use it every day, now. In addition, it really does moisturize your skin.
I FINALLY found the help I needed for daughter's excema!! August 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
My daughter was diagnosed with excema (and food allergies) at 8 months old. She is now 3 1/2 and I have tried every time of lotion from Vasoline to the most expensive brands on the market. We have been using ShiKai(infant formula is fragrance free)for about 6 months and the results are AMAZING! I tell everyone I know that has struggled with excema and/or dry skin to use it. (my Mom also loves it for her severely dry skin) It truly has been a blessing to us and we haven't had to use the cortisone creams at all! Thanks for a great product.
Not fragrance free as stated July 14, 2007 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
This hand cream has a wonderful texture. It's thick, creamy, and feels nice while applying. It spreads evenly. It feels like a high quality luxurious product. I do not know how well it works long term, though. Today is my first time trying this. The packaging is misleading, however. It is unscented. Unfortunately, it is NOT fragrance free. The scent is slight and hardly noticeable. It is there, though. It has a strange aroma that is a cross between Elmer's Glue and formaldehyde. Fortunately, the smell goes away after about twenty minutes. Either that, or I became used to it and do not notice it any more.
