Effective lotion should be free of alcohol and this stuff is. Most lotions contain alcohol. Initially they'll soften your skin, but after awhile you need more--that's because the alcohol has begun drying out your skin. It's a way to get you, the consumer, to buy more product. You buy it because you like the smell or it's in a pretty package, it has a nice color, but does it really do the job? Do you find yourself putting on more and more every time you wash? Nex Care lotion may not be "pretty" or smell like raspberries, but it does the job.
